becket's pedigree?
Becket has been called may things since we took him in off the street in Blacksburg in November of 1998:


  • a "good dog"
  • rottweiler-collie-dachshund
  • "Appalachian-pudge"
  • "pound puppy"


But it seems that he may actually be a black-and-tan English Shepherd.

Wow, the face looks just like Becket, but what about the stubby legs? I think there may still be some dachsund in there. On a related note, I saw a dog that could have been Becket's littermate on the street the other day, and nearly stopped its owner and asked what sort of dog it was and where it came from, but she didn't look like someone who wanted to field dog questions from a complete stranger.
