updates incuding the yard, a/c and memorial day
It's been a while so let's get started.

Amy and Scott helped with the patio in the back yard. It was ugly weather but not yet raining. I borrowed Leberknight's Xterra to buy more sand--1,200 lbs in two trips--and the battery died in the loading zone at home depot on the second trip. After running home to get my car and jumper cables Scott E. and I were able to get it started and last 600 lbs of sand home. Amy and I relayed the 90 pavers before it started to rain.

I had my air conditioning/heat pump serviced by adco. They weren't able to keep thier first apointment but rescheduled for a week later. The service person looked at the air handeler and the compressor but found that the compressor was EOL after 17 years and neeed to be replaced since it was stuck in "heat" mode and the fan wouldn't start without help. And so this morning I'm home for the installation of the $1,700 replacment.

This Monday Amy and I went to Kristin, Kristin, and Jen's BBQ. There was a good turnout and the sun even came out for a little while in the afternoon. I had too many hot dogs and a braughwurst mit zenf. We played frisbie and passed the football.

$1,700!? You could have your dog's ball joint cut off for that amount!

Anyway, that was a nice update, but you have many more to do. Get to it.

$1700! Not what I wanted to hear. I am getting ready to call someone to come look at my broken air conditioner, but have been putting it off, because I am afraid of how much it will cost. Hmm...wonder if repair men take credit cards.

Hey Dave! Hope things are going well-looks like you have your hands full with your maintenance on your AC and yard. Jeanine and I have been busy carting ourselves inbetween Ashburn and Charles Town, WV for the last few months (her parents live there-good fun.) Reilly is now 10 months old-cute as a button, and she'll talk your ear off (you may not be able to understand her though). I thought I had it hard when she was 6 months old-now she is crawling, climbing stairs (don't ask)and hitting. And you wouldn't think a 10 month old bitting your nose would hurt that much, with the teeth lacking and all, but you would be wrong!

Anyway, I'm now working for a secure messaging/unix management software firm in Herndon-been about 6 months now. Learning the ropes and all, but it's pretty slow going. How is work going for you?

The reason I'm writing is that I heard through the grapevine that you might attend Erin Ms. (MD) Harrington's graduation party in McLean. Are you going? I was thinking of making it out that way, but might be more inclinded to go if you did. Anyway, let me know.

PS-I don't have your phone # anymore, can you send it? My new email is don.gillespie@tfstech.com or mail2dg@usa.com

thanks!
