dixie chicks
Amy and I went to see the Dixie Chicks at the MCI Center last night. We took the Metro from West Falls Church and arrived about halfway through the opening act, Michelle Branch. Our seats were in section 421 (row O) despite our purchase from the Ticketmaster bastards right at 10:30-something when they went on sale months ago. Being far away aside, the concert was really good. They played their old, new, and newest songs. The set was really cool with a runway around the outside (the show was "in the round") which they could project stuff on from underneath and they had a a giant tree for Godspeed. Natalie mentioned George W. and "The Incident" (she used quotes) only briefly and we didn't see any protesters.

What REALLY happened

Amy and I went to see the Dixie Chicks at the MCI center last night. We took metro from West Falls Church. Unfortunately, the power on the train tracks went out and we were stranded under the Potomac. Then, giant rats began to attack the train. Everyone else panicked, but I kept my head. I ripped of my shirt (from Banana Republic) and folded it neatly. Then Amy oiled my rippling muscles and I leapt from the train and, using my belt (also from Banana) pulled the train to the MCI center with my teeth and rock-solid abs. Due to the delay, we arrived about halfway through the opening act, Michelle Branch, which is just as well with me because ever since I slept with her in February, she will not stop calling me. Give it up Michelle! I know one taste of the Dave is never enough, but I am spoken for. Our seats were in section 421 (row O) despite our purchase from the ticketmasterbater bastards right at 10:30-something when they went on sale months ago. I decided to remedy the situation. I got on the cell and called in my horde of rabid flying monkeys. Within minutes they arrived and I was able to use them to clear out the MCI center. The Dixie Chicks then gave Amy and I (and the flying monkeys) a private concert. The only downside was that Natalie kept bursting into tears because I won't date her.
